Bah, so much for trying to keep this thing going every day. Oh well, that’s life, we learn to adapt.
This past week as been an absolute blur! There was birthdays, baptisms and blistering cold waits at the bus stop! Okay, so they weren’t blisteringly cold, but I couldn’t think of a “B” word that went with the other two “B” words.
So, Update on the 12 in 12… the novel is coming along at a surprisingly pleasant pace. I really think my creative writing course has helped me out a bunch. The ideas have been coming fast and furious. Probably a combination of some divine inspiration and lack of sleep. The craziest ideas come to me when I am moments away from dreamland. But thanks to my course, I now keep a notebook and a pen by my bed every night! Very useful.
Screenplay is coming a bit slower, but I think that’s probably because I’m working on writing the novel and some other smaller screenplay projects I had on the go before the new year. You know, it’s really nice to have a number of creative projects on the go. When I get stumped on one (which blessedly has not happened yet) I can just move onto the next one. All three projects that I am writing right now are very different, so it’s refreshing switching between the three.
Moonlight Sonata has been moved to the back burner… not that I’ve given up. No, no, it’s still simmer, but there are just other priorities right now.
I must say, I’d really like to cross one of the 12 off my list. Sadly, so many of them will require the entire year to complete. I guess I could always tackle finishing up my office…how fun
.
My sister celebrated her %&#*#%(%& birthday this past week. What? A lady never reveals her age:) Let’s just say she is more phenomenal than she was last year.
My “temping” down town is coming to an end at the conclusion of this week. I’m hopeful for other opportunities to open up for me, but I will say this, it is a weird place to be in. Normally, I can look into the near future and pretty much know exactly what I’ll be doing. When I look into my near future now, it’s all wide open. It’s both an exciting and curious place to be. In the first month of this year, my life has pretty much gone topsy-turvy, and surprisingly it has been rather enjoyable.
So, with January coming to a close, my mind moves to ponder what February will bring? I guess you could say that 2012 is the year of change. And what change will I be wishing for when I blow the candles out on my birthday cake this month? Well, aren’t you pushy, first you want to know my sister’s age and now you want to know my wish? A good girl never wishes and tells, so you’ll just have to wait and see!
Have a great week all, I can’t promise I’ll be back this month
But I’ll try!!
Ciao,
